Kimberly Wilson Wetty joined Valerie Wilson Travel, Inc. in February 1995. An expert in luxury travel, Kimberly has been instrumental in developing the company’s cruise division, which has become a top producer for all established luxury and premium cruise lines. Just three years after coming on board, she took on the management of all leisure business and is responsible for maintaining Valerie Wilson Travel’s membership in Virtuoso. In addition to the leisure side of the business, Kimberly spends much of her time growing the Valerie Wilson Travel brand through unique marketing initiatives, alliances and programs as well as developing new Branch and Affiliate locations and bringing on new Associate Agents. As Co-President, she is an integral part of the overall management of the company and its daily operations with a special emphasis on Human Resources. Kimberly represents Valerie Wilson Travel, Inc. on several Advisory Boards including Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, Classic Vacations, Park Hyatt Hotels, Butterfield&Robinson, and Travel+Leisure Magazine. She also sits on the Virtuoso Tour Committee. Honored many times by the travel industry, Kimberly was named a Top Family Travel Specialist by Condé Nast Traveler consecutively since 2005 and was selected for the “A-List” in Travel+Leisure in both 2009 and 2010. Additionally, consumer and trade publications regularly seek Kimberly’s comments and perspective. Her experience is often used as a sounding board for new approaches, products and promotions, as well as her presence requested as a participant at a variety of industry roundtable and panel discussions. She is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).A graduate of Bucknell University with a BA in Sociology, Kimberly began her career as a store manager for Ann Taylor in New York City. Her passion for travel, people, retail sales and management led her to CIGA Hotels where she coordinated marketing efforts in the Americas for 30 international hotels. Kimberly remains an active alumna and volunteers for Bucknell University, as well as other charity organizations. In October 2009, Kimberly was a panelist at Bucknell’s 125th anniversary celebration of co-education.In addition to her love for travel, Kimberly enjoys running (ran the NYC Marathon in 1997), swimming, cooking and volunteering time with her children’s school and athletic activities. She resides in Bronxville, New York with her husband and their two children.
