In April 2008, ISLANDS associate editor Adrienne Egolf visited the island St. Lucia, tucked in the southern reaches of the Caribbean. She made her way from the white-sand beaches at Rodney Bay on the northernmost tip of the island, all the way to the jungle-coated mountains around Soufriere on the southwestern coast.
