All this and more can be found every week at the local farmers markets on Oahu, sponsored by the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation and co-sponsored by Hawaii's Department of Agriculture. The most beautiful marketplace in Honolulu is near Diamond Head under the shower trees in the parking lot of Kapiolani Community College from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays. The popular market features everything fresh and ono: Offerings include locally grown tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, breadfruit, lychee, rambutan, papaya, ginger, coffee, fresh heart of palm, eggs, honey, spices, tropical flowers, prepared meals and delicious baked goods.
