Review: Pano for iPhone

I recently tested Pano by Debacle Software, and this easy-to-use app is worth every penny of the $1.99 sticker. I have no regrets about hitting the download button with this one. Available on iPhone or Android.

Perusing the panoramic photography section of the app store can be like stumbling through a minefield. However, I recently tested Pano by Debacle Software, and this easy-to-use app is worth every penny of the $1.99 sticker. It allowed me to take up to 16 panoramic shots — horizontal or vertical — with a rather extreme field of view. As I was shooting, Pano showed a transparent overlay marking the edge of my last photo, letting me line up features with the image I was about to take. That meant no more guesswork for stitching shots together perfectly. Problem areas that plague other panoramic apps aren’t present here, like banding in blue skies or poorly blended seams between photos. I have no regrets about hitting the download button with this one. Available on iPhone or Android. -$1.99, iTunes
