Cheers to the Money Maker
April 14th, 2011
What better way to celebrate (or bid good riddance) to Tax Day this April 15 than with a new tropical drink recipe? Mixologist Mike Bell of the luxe Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island has whipped up a sweet island treat for guests and patrons of the resort this year – the Money Maker cocktail – and we've tracked down the recipe so you can enjoy a little tax relief right at home.
The Money Maker
– 1 1/4 oz. pear vodka
– 1/2 oz. Midori melon liqueur
– 1/2 fresh-squeezed lemon
Combine pear vodka, midori and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake, pour into a rocks glass, and garnish with a lime twist around a lemon wedge. Then sit back, sip and let those tax woes fade away.
