Be My Clementine

It's snowing across nearly every civilized corner of the United States and doctor offices are filling with flu victims. Can you think of a better time for a drink? Don't sweat it; this tropical drink recipe might actually scare off the bugs floating around out there too. Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar has just concocted a tasty new drink recipe that combines those sweet and juicy Clementine oranges -- fresh off the branches this time of year -- with the "medicinal punch" of some select liquors. It's called a "Be My Clementine" and, with Valentine's Day also fast approaching, it couldn't come at a better time.

Tommy Bahamas' 14 locations are already serving this much-needed dose of vitamin C from some muddled Clementimes (mixed with Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, Cointreau, sparkling wine and other flavors). But if you'd like to make it at home for your own darling Clementine, here's the recipe.

  • 1 part Grey Goose L’Orange vodka
  • ½ part Cointreau
  • 1 part fresh lemon juice
  • 1 part simple syrup
  • 1 part muddled Clementine
  • 1 ½ parts sparkling wine
  • 1 mint sprig
