Say what you will about disposable cameras, but what do you do when you’re 2,000 miles from home and you left the good camera in the bedroom closet? Toss one of these on the grocery-store counter, right next to the Bullfrog and Pringles.
Pros: It’s cheap. It’s waterproof to 50 feet. And c’mon, it’s foolproof to any feet, or hands. We let our 6-year-old click a few shots of yellowtail snapper and parrotfish. She missed every single shot. She even dropped the camera on a rock. What are we gonna do, get mad over a $10 camera?
Cons: It’s cheap. You can’t view what you’ve shot. There’s no zoom. The 27 shots seem to disappear pretty fast, especially in the hands of a 6-year-old girl. So you really need two or three cameras.
Bottom Line: $10 at any market or drugstore
