Constructed in 1992, this well-maintained property was a pioneer among the hotels that have sprung up around the Arenal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. The volcano is constantly erupting, and the show that it puts on is impressive, especially at night. This hotel is safely located more than a mile from the volcano and across the highway to La Fortuna. Accommodations range from standard rooms in a central building, to deluxe rooms, junior suites and suites in villas, with unique angled walls to provide the best possible views of Arenal volcano through large windows while permitting a better degree of privacy. A small lake locates some suites, and some are actually built out over the water.The hotel features 24-hour front desk assistance, business center fitness center, elevators, swimming pool, meeting facilities, parking, concierge service, laundry service, air-conditioning in public areas, and room service.Rooms are nicely furnished, with wood furnishings and headboards, and colorful bed covers and drapes.
