Overview
Tufi Resort is located on the northern-eastern side of the mainland of Papua New Guinea, and approximately 250 kilometres due east-northeast of the capital, Port Moresby. It lies between Lae and Alotau on the tip of Cape Nelson in Oro Province, and is only accessible by sea and air.The flight time from Port Moresby to Tufi is approximately 55 minutes and domestic flights are available via Airlines PNG. Customers will need to book thier domestic flights separately.The airstrip at Tufi is a 3 minute walk to the resort, and no transfers are necessary. The resort, although historically known for its diving, does cater for a whole range of additional adventure activities which includes blue water fishing, black bass fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, bird and butterfly watching. For the naturalists, Tufi is home for many of the worlds most exquisite orchids. Tufi Resort organising visits to local guesthouses along with many cultural tours.The bungalows have polished timber floors and are traditionally lined. All of the civilized creature comforts, screens, air-cons, hot water, ensuites, bar fridge, coffee and tea making facilities are available. Most units have verandahs overlooking the fiord or Coral sea.
