Harmony of the Seas, the newest Oasis class ship from Royal Caribbean, this summer had its big “float out” moment. That’s when a cruise ship leaves its dry dock and is – you got it – floated out to a separate dock for outfitting. The event happened in St Nazaire, France.
When complete, Harmony of the Seas will the world’s largest cruise ship, surpassing its sister ships (Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas) by nearly 100 passengers. When it debuts in May 2016, Harmony of the Seas will start with Western Mediterranean itineraries before moving to its homeport in Fort Lauderdale, where it will conduct Eastern and Western Caribbean trips.
