VACATIONS

Jason Momoa was born in Hawaii, and despite growing up in Iowa, he frequently visited the islands, so he knows his way around them and recommends these places.
Of the six major islands of Hawaii, one is a clear and obvious standout for Momoa, as he told Condé Nast Traveler that Kaua'i is his favorite. "It's pretty magical," he added.
Known as the Garden Isle because of its lush rainforests amidst towering cliffs, stunning waterfalls, and pristine beaches, Kaua'i is a more relaxed island in Hawaii than others.
Oahu is another one of Momoa's favorites. While there are tourist sites, he suggests checking out the Polynesian Cultural Center to learn more about Polynesian and Hawaiian culture.
Momoa also loves Mākaha, a beachfront area on Oahu's west side, where he loves to surf. It's a renowned destination in Hawaiian surfing history and heritage.
