VACATIONS
Orlando may appear to have it all, but it does lack a quintessential Florida feature: a beach. Luckily, Vero Beach is less than two hours away and is considered a hidden gem.
Vero Beach is home to beautiful beaches like Golden Sands Park, Round Island Beach Park, and South Beach Park, which all feature radiant cerulean water and powdery white sand.
The beaches provide amenities like picnic tables, grills, and restroom facilities. At Round Island, you can see manatees with Get Up and Go Kayaking’s two-hour clear kayak tour.
Along with the beaches, Vero Beach features McKee Botanical Garden, Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, and the McLarty Treasure Museum dedicated to the sunken 1715 Fleet.
Disney's Vero Beach Resort is a four-star hotel with amenities both kids and adults will love. Another great hotel is the Costa d'Este Beach Resort & Spa owned by Gloria Estefan.
