VACATIONS
Costa Rica contains a whopping 6% of the world's biodiversity, which you can see on full display at an often overlooked national park in the country: Rincón de la Vieja.
Rincón de la Vieja contains many beautiful jungle waterfalls, the most stunning of which is probably La Cangreja due to its 130-foot-tall falls that end in a bright blue lagoon.
For more of a challenge, you can try the nearby Escondida Waterfall for a secluded experience. An AllTrails reviewer called the trail "tough climbing, but worth it."
If you aren’t up for hiking, opt for the Victoria Waterfall, the Oropéndola Waterfall, or the Chorreras Waterfalls, all of which are near the Hacienda Guachipelin eco-resort.
Rincón de la Vieja also has 10 different thermal pools that are easily accessible via two suspension bridges. The waters are clear and full of healing minerals.
