Airplane food isn’t gourmet and some travelers will avoid these meals like the plague. Even famous chef Gordon Ramsay doesn’t touch them — and he used to make plane food.
His inside knowledge of the food prep is what drives Ramsay’s aversion. He even established Gordan Ramsay Plane Food because he wanted to make better food.
Ramsay told Refinery29, “I worked for airlines for 10 years, so I know where this food’s been and where it goes, and how long it took before it got on board.”
The famous chef finds the process of making plane food appalling. To Bon Appetit, he said, “Airplane food isn't in a great state; so many of the airlines serve heavy, stodgy meals.”
