Head To This Italian Island For Capri Views Without The Price Tag

By Dawn Hammon

While the island of Capri might seem like a place to find the quintessential Italian experience, the nearby island of Ischia might be a more rewarding and budget-friendly option.
Void of the glitz and glam of Capri, Ischia maintains a sense of authenticity. The tourist density is significantly lower, and the majority of visitors are Italian locals.
Castello Aragonese d'Ischia is a campus of structures including a castle, some prisons, gardens, chapels, views, and a historical museum perched on top of a massive rock structure.
Ischia has 103 natural hot springs and gorgeous beaches. Visitors can also trek up to Mount Epomeo, which reveals spectacular views of the entire region.
Ischia has lots of delicious food and wine options that are quite affordable. The specialty here is coniglio all'ischitana, a stewed rabbit dish that's prepared in a clay pot.
