Açaí
The açaí berry only grows in South America's Amazon rainforest. The fruit grows on palm trees, and since it has a minimal shelf life, it is rarely found fresh outside Brazil.
Asiatic Lion
The Asiatic lion looks similar to an African lion but has a trimmer, darker mane and is generally smaller. They are only found in the Gujarat state of western India.
Pitcher Plant
Attenborough's pitcher plant was named after biologist Sir David Attenborough and grows only on the slopes of Mount Victoria on Palawan in the western Philippines.
The pitcher plant can grow up to about one foot in diameter. The body of the open pitcher fills with viscous liquid, making it hard for prey to move or escape when it falls in.
Coco De Mer
This uncommon fruit only appears on the islands of Praslin and Curieuse in the Seychelles. The easiest place to see it is the Vallée de Mai nature reserve on Praslin.
Golden Rocket Frog
This bright yellow frog is the width of a penny and is only found on a few mountains in Guyana. They live on bromeliad leaves and eat small insects.
