Keep Your Tent Safe While You Camp With The Help Of A Pool Noodle

By Mina Elwell

VACATIONS

Your tent's guylines are a tripping threat for those in your campsite. To avoid tearing down your tent, run your lines through brightly colored pool noodles so they're noticeable.
As tempting as it may be to eliminate these little tripwires, they really are necessary for keeping your tent upright, especially when it's pouring or there's heavy wind.
Someone could easily miss a thin, black cord pulled taut across a campsite, but they probably won't miss a bright, yellow foam tube floating in the air.
Simply thread the guyline through the hole that's already in the noodles before you pull them taut and stake them down. They might get a little dirty but can easily be rinsed off.
