Milos, Greece, Is An 'Island Of Colors' You'll Have To See To Believe

VACATIONS
Sarakiniko Beach on Milos, the "Island of Colors," is one-of-a-kind. The beach has been used for many fashion magazine photoshoots and is known as the birthplace of Aphrodite.
Sarakiniko has blinding white cliffs and caves, crystalline water in perfect coves, and pumice rock beaches. It is also a great place to try cliff diving.
Milos has many more beaches, including Kleftiko, a hidden bay ringed by towering white cliffs. The water is indescribably blue, lending credibility to the name "Island of Colors."
At the tiny beach village of Firopotamos, the pretty, colorful houses step right into the water. A beachfront bar rents out bean bag chairs to guests looking to relax.
Be sure to eat at Oh Hamos, a traditional Greek taverna with seating under a vine-covered pergola, or dine aboard the Perseas, a traditional Greek fishing boat.
Stay at an ocean-view suite at the ultra-modern Domes White Coast or rent a traditional Greek "Sirma" (a house built into a cliff) on Airbnb in the fishing village of Klima.
