Roll
Rather than folding your clothes, roll them up to save space. A good, tight roll compresses all the air from your clothing, leaving room for other goods in your suitcase.
Save space on your toiletries by recycling small containers like contact lens cases. You can also measure out exactly how much product you need for your trip.
If you’re traveling for quite a while, bring only a few basic clothing pieces and wash them. Just scrub your clothes in your sink and rinse them in fresh water.
Shoes take up a lot of space, so don’t put them in your suitcase. Instead, clip shoes to the outside of your backpack or put them in a bag from the duty-free shop.
