Swimming In Crystal Lake, Michigan Feels Like The Caribbean

VACATIONS

East of the town of Frankfort, you'll find the gin-clear waters of Crystal Lake. With views compared to the Caribbean Sea, Crystal Lake transports visitors to the tropics.
Crystal Lake covers about 10,000 acres, and its deepest spot is 175 feet. One reason the lake has such clear water is its very small watershed, which leads to minimal runoff.
The teal-green water of Crystal Lake is surrounded by homes, country clubs, and nature preserves. There are several public beaches, but boating is the best way to see the water.
Fishing is popular on the lake, and there are several ramps if you bring your boat. It's also the perfect spot for refreshing summer swims, water skiing, wakeboarding, or lounging.
