The Pantry Item You Should Always Pack In Your Carry-On

If your go-to packing list doesn't already include Ziploc bags, there are many reasons to include them, and you should aim to take about five with you.
Toiletries
When going to the airport, your liquids have to fit into one quart-size clear plastic bag. In case your liquids bag breaks, bring an extra Ziploc with you.
It can also help keep toiletries in your checked bag safe. If you buy something like perfume on your trip, putting it in a Ziploc bag before packing adds a layer of protection.
Snacks
Restaurant takeout containers may be unwieldy and hard to fit in a bag. A Ziploc can easily carry things like a sandwich, waffles, or pizza more efficiently.
Having Ziploc bags also makes things easier if you're staying in an Airbnb and planning to cook some of your own meals, as they may not have bags for you to use.
Protect Phone
If you're on a trip that's taking you anywhere that's rainy, having a Ziploc bag to put your phone and other electronics in can be a lifesaver.
It's also a good strategy at Disney or any theme park where you'll be going on a water ride. If you want to be super cautious, you can double-bag your phone and camera.
