During the Cold War, Berlin was separated into parts, and travelers passed through Checkpoint Charlie to move between areas. Today, the area is a tourist trap.
"It was a total waste of time going here. It's nothing more than a hut in the middle of the street [...] cheap souvenirs and pseudo-American food," says a Tripadvisor user.
While this temple is gorgeous, Tripadvisor reviewers say that the experience is ruined by visitors who leave trash, write on the marble, and don't respect the space.
The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci is housed in the Louvre in Paris, France, where anyone can stop and take a look — but only if they're willing to brave the crowds.
As a Redditor states, "There is a massive crowd around it, and when you get past it, there is a massive glass cage and the painting is this tiny rectangle that's 7 feet away."
Megan of Traverse blog says of this natural spa in Iceland, "You are never floating more than a few feet from the nearest person [...] expect lines and wait times too."
