Most people want to look good in photos, but if you look too glamorous in your passport photo, it may raise red flags for airport security.
You'll need to show your passport every time you get on a plane, and if security doesn't recognize you, it's going to be extremely frustrating to have to prove who you are.
"They almost didn't let me on my flight because they said I don't look like my passport," TikToker alishamarie said in a viral video. The same thing happened to several commenters.
Many popular passport photo makeup tutorials focus on contouring, which changes the appearance of the shape of your face and looks different in photographs than it does in person.
You don't have to go completely bare-faced but try not to alter your natural skin tone, change the shape of your eyebrows, wear fake lashes, or do too much contouring.
