VACATIONS
The Bahamas has some beautiful beaches with powdery sand and clear water. However, West End Beach on Grand Bahama Island should be avoided for its shark-infested water.
West End is home to various shark species, including Tiger sharks, which are known for frequently attacking humans. It has been the site of shark-related deaths and accidents.
According to the International Shark Attack File, the Bahamas has one of the world's highest rates of shark attacks. Attacks are still infrequent, but you can never be too careful.
