If you can't afford to go to Greece, Tarpon Springs, Florida, will give you the village charm you're after. Classic blue and white motifs and restaurants line Dodecanese Boulevard.
The boulevard is named after the many residents that came from Greece's Dodecanese islands. In the town, you'll also find Saint Nicholas, a Greek Orthodox church.
Tarpon Springs is located along Florida's Gulf Coast near Clearwater. It has a thriving sponge reef and industry, but the town relies mostly on tourism.
You can find freshly made spanakopita and celebrate Greek holidays, so you'll feel like you're across the ocean. You get all of this while enjoying the long Floridian coastline.
