Located about an hour northeast of Seattle, Wallace Falls State Park in Washington is a hidden gem with nine spectacular waterfalls that epitomize the Cascade Mountain Range.
The park offers a quintessential Pacific Northwest hiking experience with its alpine lakes, stunning mountain views, and old-growth forests, which are a rare treat in the region.
Hikers can enjoy scenic views along the Woody Trail, which follows the Wallace River and offers viewpoints of three waterfalls, including the nearly 400-foot-tall Wallace Falls.
The trail is moderately strenuous, with a 1,500-foot elevation gain over 2.8 miles, but the effort is rewarded with breathtaking scenery and a thundering display of natural beauty.
