Tourists Will Stand Out If They Make This Coffee Order In Italy

VACATIONS
If you want to blend in with the locals while visiting Italy, be mindful of your coffee orders, as ordering a cappuccino after 11 a.m. will immediately mark you as a tourist.
Italians consider cappuccinos and most other milk-based coffee drinks to be strictly breakfast beverages that go well with the customary sweet morning pastries or treats.
You can certainly get a cup of cappuccino at any time of the day. However, ordering one outside of breakfast hours goes against local customs and will make you stand out.
To fully experience Italian coffee culture, stick to their tradition and explore other coffee options, such as espresso (un caffè) or caffè macchiato, in the afternoon and evening.
