VACATIONS

Nature lovers appreciate Georgia’s awe-inspiring splendor, which includes over 700 waterfalls. We must suggest starting your journey with the tallest of them all: Amicalola.
Amicalola Falls stands at an impressive 729-feet high. Autumn is the best time to see them, as they're flanked by red and orange trees that add a colorful flair to the occasion.
Amicalola Falls State Park is in the Chattahoochee forest, 90 minutes from Atlanta. Since the park is managed by the state, you'll have to pay a $5 parking fee when you enter.
The park is open from dawn to dusk throughout the year. Camping is permitted at 24 different campsites that accommodate tents and RVs, and there is a dedicated lodge onsite.
To really get your blood pumping, go ziplining over the treetops. You can also take archery or hatchet-throwing lessons or go on a guided tour of Amicalola Falls.
