If you love beaches and National Parks, visit Washington’s Port Angeles. Here, you'll find spectacular mountains meeting the sea and heaps of history right under your feet.
In Port Angeles, you can comb beautiful beaches, including 130 miles of the Olympic Discovery Trail. Time it right, and you'll be able to watch for whales right from the sand.
The entire community of Port Angeles was lifted up in the early 1900s due to flooding concerns, and you can see hidden tunnels and storefronts via the Underground Heritage Tour.
From Port Angeles, you can easily visit Olympic National Park, a diverse landscape featuring mountains, alpine meadows, a spectacular coastline, and an ethereal rainforest.
The Olympic National Park Visitor Center is in Port Angeles, right off a major roadway. Here, you'll be greeted by park rangers who can help you plan your adventure.
