Why You Should Check Into Your Hotel Room As Early As Possible

VACATIONS

Hotels love to stick to their rigid check-in and check-out times, so you should check in ASAP, as hotels might give priority to someone already on-site and tag you as a no-show.
According to a Reddit user who was a hotel night auditor, a busy hotel might sell your room to someone else if you booked an "unsecured" (not prepaid) reservation.
If you know you're running late, do yourself a solid and inform the hotel right away. Giving them a heads-up could keep you from being unceremoniously bumped.
If you end up at the hotel before the standard check-in time, you might get in by simply asking nicely. You may also be allowed a late check-out if you ask ahead of time.
