To keep your belongings safe while in the airport security line, consider using packing cubes. They keep all your things in the same place and prevent small items from falling out.
Packing cubes are square pouches that zip up, and you can use them to organize your luggage and find items easily. They're especially good for keeping small, loose items together.
Before you leave for the airport, fill a smaller packing cube with all the little items you won't need on the drive. When you get to security, add your boarding pass and keys.
