Your Cruise Vacation Will Be Ruined If You Make This Social Media Mistake

VACATIONS
Posting too much personal information about your cruise on social media in advance can ruin your vacation. This happened to Tiffany Banks, @thathippiedoc, on TikTok.
A few weeks before their Carnival cruise was due to set sail, Banks and her husband excitedly posted about it on Facebook. Then, just a few days later, her cruise was canceled.
Because of the social media post, someone else had used Banks' booking number to cancel her cruise. The cruise had cost her $15,000, and she was not eligible for a refund.
Carnival offered her two cheaper cabins on the same cruise and a $10,000 credit, but to get it, she would have to state that the issue had been resolved and book another cruise.
To avoid this happening to you, keep your private information private — online and in person. If you post your booking information, anyone who wants to ruin your trip can do so.
