- Casey has spent much of his life taking road trips across the United States, visiting as many national and state parks as he could.
- A self-proclaimed history nerd, he has traveled to some of the oldest human settlements in the world, including the Neolithic archaeological site of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey.
- While preparing to write a Western novel, he journeyed through the American Southwest to explore various ghost towns and iconic Old West locations.
Experience
Casey began his professional writing career at Static Media in 2022 as part of the Google Stories team, writing for brands such as Explore, Slashfilm, and Tasting Table. In 2024, he became an editor in the department before switching to the Islands news team. Before embarking on this career path, he spent years honing his skills by writing novels and short stories.
Education
Casey has a bachelor's degree in history from San Francisco State University. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing at Emerson College.
