- Collin has loved travel all of his life, growing up in a family that vacationed all across the United States, including camping in South Dakota and historical trips to Virginia. These shaped a love of history and exploring new places.
- Years ago, he had the opportunity to travel to Australia and New Zealand for two weeks, seeing sights such as the Outback, the Sydney Opera House, and the Great Barrier Reef. During this time, he also discovered a love for writing, as he kept a detailed daily journal of his travels.
- Today, he continues to travel whenever he can, always looking for underrated, out-of-the-way places to eat. In college, he often took day trips to New York City, and his friends always trusted him as the authority when it came to finding the most interesting restaurants.
Experience
While attending the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Collin interned at South Asian Review, where he edited articles about the culture of India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, written by authors from all over the world. In addition to being his first experience at a major publication, this opened his eyes to a part of the world he had not studied much before, despite being a history minor. While interning at Johnstown Magazine, he wrote and edited articles about local culture, travel, and food, which he continued to do post-graduation. Traveling across the United States at a young age helped Collin learn how to make the most of each vacation, even without spending a lot of money.

Collin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelor's degree in writing.
