Global Travel, Food & Drinks Travel, Adventure Travel
- The daughter of a restaurateur mom from Los Angeles and a chef dad from Reggio Emilia, Italy, Regina grew up globe-trotting — and her lifelong love of food and travel naturally led to a career in lifestyle media.
- Regina has traveled to over 60 countries and throughout the U.S., but she hasn't stopped yet — she plans to hit 100 countries (or more!) in her lifetime.
- Some of her favorite places on Earth include Taroko National Park (the Gorge!) in Taiwan; Ubud, Bali; Chamonix and Annecy in France; the Riviera Maya in Mexico; Pisco Elqui in Chile; the Blue Mountains in Jamaica; Santa Margherita Ligure and Reggio Emilia in Italy (of course!); and last but certainly not least, California's Lake Tahoe and Catalina Island.
Experience
Regina entered food and travel media in 2010 as a contributor to HuffPost Lifestyle, where she spent a decade interviewing high-profile chefs and traveling the globe on culinary adventures. She has served as a judge for international pastry and barista competitions in Europe and the U.S., and is the author of the Amazon best-seller "99 Things You Wish You Knew Before Going To Culinary School." Regina has contributed features and cover stories to numerous food and lifestyle magazines, and served as the managing editor of Disneyland Resort Magazine — a glossy print mag all about "The Happiest Place on Earth." When she's not editing fun and informative articles here at Islands, you'll find Regina traveling, cooking, and baking, and riding her speedy Arabian horse in the hills of Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
Education
Gina attended the University of California at Santa Barbara — located in that beautiful, coastal city known as "The American Riviera," and spent her college summer vacations traveling Europe.
