Influencers Have A New Cayman Islands Hangout At The Locale Hotel

From the tropical pool to the on-site dining, Locale boasts a modern design with an emphasis on community.

The moment guests set their sights on Cayman artist Carlos V. Garcia's bright, beautiful international mural they know they can expect a selfie-packed experience at Locale. Grand Cayman's newest hotel encourages visitors from around the world to "live local, stay Locale" and find inspiration in everything the Cayman Islands offer.

Howard Sitzer, co-founder of HHG Advisory Services, explains that Locale is "a place to get inspired, collaborate, work, play, discover new destinations and feel truly at home." The 42-room hotel was designed with the modern flair of big city boutique style, while never losing the tropical beauty of a beach resort. Locale offers both "sublime comfort and inspiring endless adventure," Sitzer says, and that is evident in the privacy and value of the King Loft and Double Queen rooms, as well as the shared open spaces that are meant to encourage guests to interact with each other and the staff in order to maximize the Cayman experience.

Sitzer adds: "You won't find any overpriced mini bars or dull common spaces here. Perfect for work and play, our rooms have a distinct personality interconnected by a common mindset which encourages guests to 'live local, stay Locale'."

Both the King Loft and Double Queen rooms feature smart televisions, modern bathrooms and kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwaves. What sets them apart — aside from the obvious bed sizes — is the King Loft's extra space for work or additional lounging. All rooms also include Amazon's Alexa and complimentary Wi-Fi.

For those wishing to combine their lounging with people-watching or a fresh cocktail from the hotel bar, the Locale's Hangout lobby features a library nook and couches. Of course, guests can also grab beach kits and take their lounging poolside.

Locale is a five-minute walk from Seven Mile Beach and the area's best dining and retail spots are just up the road. Bonfire Urban Italian Kitchen, Locale's in-house restaurant, offers affordable Italian comfort food, including pizza, pasta and salads, all made with locally-sourced ingredients.
