Bring The Margaritaville Vibe Home With This Festive Drink Recipe

Calling all Parrotheads: In honor of Jimmy Buffett's new holiday album, 'Tis the SeaSon, select Margaritaville restaurants and hotels around the U.S. are serving up the ultimate merrymaking cocktail with the same name.

Here's how to make the coconutty concoction at home.

'Tis the SeaSon Drink Recipe

  • ¼ oz. Red food coloring

InstructionsAdd ingredients into a zip lock bag. Seal bag and shake until all coconut is red.

  • 1 ½ oz. Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
  • ¾ oz. Butterscotch schnapps
  • 2 ½ oz. Piña colada mix
  • ½ oz. Water

InstructionsAdd ingredients to a mixing tin. Rim a glass with holiday coconut and fill with ice. Cover the mixing tin and shake. Pour drink into a glass and top with whipped cream. Sprinkle holiday coconut on top.

After one sip, you'll feel the changes in attitudes (even without the changes in latitudes). A festive cocktail deserves a festive soundtrack, so pick up the second-ever holiday album at the Margaritaville store to sing along to a Parrothead version of "12 Days of Christmas" (ten tiki torches, nine pairs of flip flops) and our personal favorite, "Mele Kalikimaka." 'Tis the season after all.
