Inside Bungalows Key Largo, The First All-Inclusive Resort In The Florida Keys

The adults-only resort is a luxurious tribute to the island's laidback lifestyle.

When it opened in January, Bungalows Key Largo not only became the first all-inclusive luxury resort in the Florida Keys, but it also established a lofty standard for any resorts that follow. The adults-only Bungalows is located on 12 acres of waterfront property, not far from John Pennekamp State Park, and features 135 private bungalows for guests seeking a vacation that blends seclusion and relaxation with adventure and exploration.

Everything Bungalows offers is defined by luxury. Need to keep up with your daily fitness regimen? Attend a morning yoga class and follow it up with a Peloton session at the Fitness Tiki Hut. Want to get out and explore the resort or see what else Sunset Cove has to offer? Two Huffy cruiser bicycles are included with each bungalow. Have a larger group that wants to hit the open water? A 38-foot sailing catamaran and 40-foot Intrepid powerboat are available for charters and fishing trips. The resort even allows for guests to arrive by seaplane from Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport.

Waterfront bungalows are highlighted by secluded oceanfront verandas that allow access to the semi-private beach. The larger garden bungalow serves as a private tropical oasis, tucked away in the resort's botanical gardens. Every bungalow offers an oversized soaking tub and outdoor shower, as well as smart televisions and Blu Ray players. However, such amenities might go unnoticed when the resort also offers two pools, two jacuzzi tubs and relaxing beach cabanas that take the indoor comfort to the sand.

There's an undeniable international influence throughout the resort, especially in the on-site restaurants. Sea Señor offers beachside Mexican cuisine, while Fish Tales serves fresh seafood in an Italian-inspired setting. However, it's all Florida Keys at Bogie & Bacall's, where guests can enjoy multi-course fine dining and wine pairings, as well as cocktails at Hemingway Bar. Parties of six can also enjoy food and drinks on two tiki boats — the S.S. Rum Runner and S.S. Margarita.

Ultimate relaxation can be found in the Zen Garden Spa, which features five outdoor treatment cabanas, a steam room and salt therapy treatment. There's even a Zen Pool, where guests can receive poolside treatment.
