New Overwater Bungalows Come To Bora Bora
The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa has added new overwater bungalows with private plunge pools.
InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa, a romantic hotel on Motu Piti Aau that's already known for its overwater bungalows, has recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation. The latest addition? Pool Premium Overwater Villas, aka honeymoon-worthy overwater bungalows with private infinity plunge pools.
"We are thrilled to introduce these luxurious overwater villas with private infinity pools which offer a new way for our guests to enjoy the beauty of Bora Bora," says general manager Stephane Massarini.
In addition to the plunge pool, each one-bedroom Pool Premium Overwater Villa offers a living room with a glass coffee table that showcases the marine life below. Wake up in a king-size bed to a not-too-shabby view of your own pool and the surrounding lagoon.

Each villa also boasts a private terrace with direct access to the lagoon so you can dive right in and snorkel until your heart's content. Oh, and did we mention the plunge pool?

Need more room to spread out? The resort is also debuting four new Brando Overwater Suites, available December 2017. The one- and two-bedroom suites each feature a living room and dining table that can seat six, plus a private terrace with a larger private pool (205 square feet) and an outdoor shower.

The bathrooms in the Brando Suites feature double vanities and large soaking tubs — the perfect spot to take in the view.

Pamper yourself in the resort's Deep Ocean Spa by Algotherm, where you can unwind with a deep-sea mineral-infused treatment that utilizes ancient Polynesian methods. Be sure to request an overwater spa suite, where you can watch marine life through the glass floor.

And when you're ready to refuel, dine amongst a tranquil atmosphere at Le Corail, a French cuisine restaurant overlooking a lighted lagoonarium.
