Don’t think outside the box for your Virgin Islands keepsakes. Instead, put them inside a unique box with original artwork from Elaine Estern, a St. John artist. Handcrafted from cedar scraps by Caribbean artisans, the boxes (pictured here) feature Elaine’s favorite prints of her paintings adhered on top of the lids. The sizes range from 3 by 2 inches to 4½ by 6 inches, perfect for holding the seashells you gathered in Hurricane Hole or bottle caps from Skinny Legs. When selecting your box, share a sunset, too. Beginning in November and continuing through April, Elaine shares her creations at weekly sunset parties. Each Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m., enjoy warm hors d’oeuvres, wine and a flute duet while perusing artwork & admiring the sunset right from Elaine’s front yard. coconutcoaststudios.com
