How To Make The Gumby Slumber From Little Palm Island Resort And Spa

Rum lovers rejoice! This punch packs a, well, punch.

Rum punch is a fun, popular cocktail because the recipe is usually simple and it's up to the bartender (in this case, you) how strong the drink can be. But it is also an interesting drink, as the recipe varies from island to island and resort to resort, so it's always fun to try it and learn the different ingredients. Best of all, though, we love rum punches because they're almost always the first thing we're greeted with when checking into our favorite Caribbean resorts.

At Little Palm Island Resort and Spa, located right off AIA on Florida's Little Torch Key, the rum punch is delightfully known as the Gumby Slumber. This private island resort's motto is "Get lost," and so this signature cocktail plays a big role in helping guests embrace that motto and the overall spirit of the Florida Keys. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the Gumby Slumber will get the party started.

But don't mistake this for a party spot. The recently reopened and redesigned Little Palm is a stylish, downright cool resort, inspired by the West Indies, that boasts 30 thatched-roof bungalow suites, as well as a stunning spa and restaurant with views for days. And it's like we always say: If it's good enough for former presidents, then it's good enough for you.
