Turks And Caicos Main

Provo: A Prime Destination Just an hour-and-a-half plane ride from Miami, Florida, lies the Turks and Caicos, 200-plus miles of pure white-sand beaches, the world's third largest coral reef system and an abundance of wildlife. Below is the ISLANDS map of our 2008 trip to Provo.

Forty islands make up this archipelago, with only eight inhabited. And while one island may only be a quick boat ride away from the next, each is unique, with its own set of characteristics and must sees — from the history of Salt Cay to the iguanas on Little Water Cay, the diving on South Caicos to the nightlife on Providenciales ("Provo"). Provo is home to the 12-mile beach called Grace Bay. This is where you'll find five-star accommodations, restaurants and some of the silkiest sand in the Caribbean. While this island might be up-and-coming, you'll still find the authentic Caribbean — great snorkeling, cozy beaches and mouth-watering seafood.
