We’ve all been there — a room key that doesn’t work, a key lost at the bottom of the ocean — but those days are officially over. Starting Nov. 5 at select Starwood brands like Aloft, Element and W hotels, you’ll be able to use your smart phone as your room key, and we know you’re not losing that.
This is part of Starwood’s ever-evolving technology streamline. You’ll be able to do everything from book your room to open the door to your room without ever having to stop at the front desk — unless you need a recommendation on where to find the best local food.
Starwood plans to have the technology installed on all of its 30,000 doors by the end of 2015.
