The Hilton brand is adding another luxury property to its portfolio. LXR Hotels and Resorts, Hilton’s luxury brand that started in December 2018, will debut in the Americas with Zemi Beach House Hotel and Spa on the island of Anguilla. This is LXR Hotels and Resorts’ third property, as it already operates resorts in the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
Following a two-month annual closure, Zemi Beach House is expected to reopen as a Hilton resort in November 2019.
“Representing LXR’s debut in the Americas, the addition of Zemi Beach House to our carefully curated portfolio showcases our commitment to finding the right product and upholding our standards for authenticity and inspiring destinations,” said Martin Rinck, executive vice president and global head of Hilton’s Luxury & Lifestyle Group.
Hilton’s newest beachfront property is located at Shoal Bay East on the northeast coast of Anguilla, boasting 65 rooms across six acres. Zemi Beach House offers five different types of rooms and four different types of suites. In-room amenities include access to Wi-Fi, furnished balconies, 24-hour room service, Bluetooth sound systems, motion-sensor climate control and free phone calls to the U.S. and Canada.
Within the resort, there are two restaurants, three bars, a tennis court and the Zemi Thai House Spa, among other amenities. The Zemi Thai House Spa is an authentic, 300-year-old Thai house with private spa suites, a yoga deck, five multifunction treatment rooms with showers, a juice bar and a wellness boutique.
In 2016, the Zemi Thai House Spa won world’s best new resort spa by World Spa Awards.
“A highly rated and trending hotspot in the Caribbean, Anguilla is on track for a record-breaking season this year, as it continues to evolve as a high-end tourist destination,” said Juan Corvinos, Hilton vice president of development in the Caribbean and Latin America. “We recognize that the demand for more branded luxury products in the Caribbean that offer personalized attention and immersive experiences is paramount.”
Before being acquired by Hilton, Zemi Beach House was owned, operated and managed by the Goldstein Family of New York. The Goldstein Family will continue those same responsibilities under Hilton.
“On behalf of my family, we are excited to become part of LXR’s wonderful collection of properties,” Jeff Goldstein said. “We built Zemi in 2016 on a dazzling, pristine beach in fashionable Anguilla with lots of love and attention and a great team. We look forward to sharing Zemi, our beach and our 300-year-old Thai House…with Hilton’s worldwide travelers.”
