Detroit, Michigan, is a legendary destination, though the surrounding Downriver suburbs can certainly hold their own. This region, known as such because it's literally situated "downriver" of the big city (via WDET), is home to Taylor. Less than 30 minutes away from Downtown Detroit, this Midwestern city boasts splendid green spaces (golf courses included) and amusement centers that the entire family will enjoy. Taylor's star attraction is arguably Heritage Park. In other words, this green space has much to offer. Heritage Park features the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Designed to look like Detroit's Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, you can enter and observe the blooming flora.

Weekday and weekend rates at Lakes of Taylor Golf Club and Taylor Meadows Golf Club vary and are higher for non-residents. Lakes of Taylor Golf Club and Taylor Meadows Golf Club both welcome junior players, allowing families to make lasting memories on the greens. This, as well as Taylor's vibrant parks, offers excitement for visitors of all ages. Zap Zone features a fluorescent arcade with air hockey, racing, and other games, with reviewers on Google writing that it has an impressive selection of prizes.
