This Popular US Airline Is Introducing A Kid-Free Flight (And It Includes Another Hidden Perk)
If you're a frequent flier, you know there are few travel debates as heated as whether airlines should offer kid-free flights. While some airlines, like Corendon and Scoot, have experimented with adults-only zones, popular carrier JetBlue is taking the concept to the next level and offering a completely child-free travel experience. And it even includes a hidden perk: You get to go on a cruise, too.
In October 2026, JetBlue and Virgin Voyages announced a unique vacation package called "Do Not Disturb," which pairs a four-night Caribbean cruise with round-trip charter flights by JetBlue where every passenger on board is guaranteed to be 18 or older. While complaining about crying babies is often considered one of the worst in-flight behaviors, JetBlue and Virgin Voyages are betting that plenty of travelers are willing to pay for total peace and quiet on the plane.
Operating in March 2027, the specialized public charter flies round trip between New York's JFK and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). It's important to note that travelers can't book a standalone seat on standard JetBlue flight channels, as this is designed as a bundled package with Virgin Voyages. The only way to experience the child-free flight is by purchasing the complete vacation package that retails for $2,750 for two guests through JetBlue Vacations. However, capped at just 60 cabins, the pilot run sold out in three days, though more adults-only packages could be on the horizon.
What to expect from JetBlue and Virgin Voyages' 'Do Not Disturb' package
Whether it's redefining and jazzing up its first-class cabins or providing child-free flights, JetBlue, which is the only U.S. airline that made the cut for the top five "Most Legroom in Economy Class" list in 2026, has always focused on experimenting with the passenger experience. So, you can expect no less than a thoughtfully curated journey with its "Do Not Disturb" pilot program created with Virgin Voyages, known for having some of the best kid-free cruises.
In addition to an adults-only flight, the limited trial includes several logistical perks for guests of the 60 cabins. Departure perks include JetBlue's BlueHouse Lounge access for the first 60 package holders who arrive at the terminal. Once travelers collect their bags from the Fort Lauderdale Airport carousel and check in with Virgin Voyages staff, private shuttles will transfer guests directly to Port of Miami while their luggage is delivered to their ship staterooms. The package also includes other perks, like a $100 on-board bar tab credit and a private welcome party.
While the initial March 2027 pilot was a limited trial that sold out quickly, future expansion remains possible. As Jamie Perry, president of JetBlue Vacations, said in a statement in October 2026 (via AFAR), "If this is as successful as we hope it will be, then there are certainly opportunities for us to extend it."
