Experience

Born in Toronto, Shandley has worked as a freelance writer and editor for over two decades. She's written health, parenting, and travel articles for consumer magazines like Chatelaine, Today's Parent, Parents Canada, Time Out New York Kids, and Today's Child. Online, you'll find her articles on sites like University Health News, InBetween Magazine, Travel Mindset, The Travel, and PlanetWare. Shandley is also the author of three books: "Hey Baby! What's Your Name? A Canadian Guide to Naming Your Baby," and children's books, "Under Your Nose" and "On the Reef." She is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.

Education

Shandley holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in English and Sociology from Queen's University in Canada. After graduating, she began a career at Chatelaine Magazine and took magazine writing classes at Ryerson University. She also took a course on writing for social media through UC Berkeley.
