Experience

Krista has been a lover of the written word since she was barely old enough to read and write, and she found herself creating stories, writing poems, and crafting informative narratives throughout her childhood. She started her writing career as a journalist back in 2017. Since then, she has written for many publications including USA Today, cmbMD, and more before she eventually moved into freelance travel writing for brands like Islands and Explore. Traveling and outdoor adventures have always been a deep passion for Krista, and she uses these passions as fuel to get out, see the world, and create amazing stories about such adventures along the way. Her favorite topics to cover include road trip/van life travel, national and state Parks in the U.S., and tips for making travel smooth with a family.

Education

Krista studied creative writing and earned an associate's degree at South Seattle College, before graduating with a bachelor's degree in educational studies from Western Governors University.
