- Kristy began working overseas in 2002 as an English teacher in South Korea, and it's still one of her most memorable and favorite destinations.
- Her career led to other teaching contracts in Myanmar, Vancouver, and Oaxaca state in Mexico, where she discovered a tropical seaside village on the Costa Chica to call home.
- Aside from helping fellow expats navigate the paperwork and finances of living in another country, her daily life includes beach culture, secret pyramids, and enjoying yet another amazing sunset.
Experience
Kristy is a lifelong writer, penning her first novel in grade one, which was an auspicious sign even if it wasn't exactly a bestseller. Road trips and Disney vacation packages sparked her passion for travel at an early age, and she was always obsessed with the AAA books and road maps that were crammed into the glove compartment of the family car. Kristy has previously written for The Travel, CBR, Screen Rant, and Game Rant.
Education
Kristy has a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Victoria and is currently enrolled in the Writer's Studio at Simon Fraser University.
