Experience
Stricken by an unremitting case of wanderlust at a young age, Richard has attempted to travel and explore the globe as much as humanly (and financially) possible. Always preferring to build maps, routes, and itineraries from the street-level up, Richard is most at home poking around unseen lanes, weird cafés, hidden art installations, and underground music venues. With 30+ visited countries under his belt (with some repeat offenders), Richard has lived in the United States (Connecticut, New York, Texas, and California), Japan, England, and currently the Netherlands. Some of his favorite global hotspots (but not all) include Thailand, Finland, Croatia, and Flanders, Belgium. He's written for the Japanese travel site Voyapon, the Japanese National Tourism Organization, as well as for Grunge, Rabbit Hole Magazine, Metropolis, and more.
Education
Richard has his B.A. in psychology from Western Connecticut State University (Magna Cum Laude) and his M.A. in interactive technology from Southern Methodist University.
